Following his global success, DJ Ickarus (Paul Kalkbrenner) spirals into a cycle of drug abuse and depression, leading to his admission to a psychiatric clinic. Despite the crisis and his isolation, he manages to compose his new album within the facility's walls, turning music into the instrument of his rebirth. 'Berlin Calling', the title of his new album, thus marks his artistic triumph and his definitive return to life.
