On the occasion of the 7th Biennial of Industrial and Labor Photography—Photo/Industry, Palazzo Bentivoglio hosts' Prut 'by Matei Bejenaru (Romania, 1966). \n The project, started in 2011 and is still ongoing, has as its subject the villages located on both banks of the Prut river, which since 2007 — the year Romania joined the European Union — has constituted a natural border of the new political Europe. The images of these marginal places bring us into contact with a rural world rooted in the past but at the same time exposed to the changes of the present. Observing daily life along the river, which for him is home, the artist tells the great story: the political dynamics of the last fifty years, the economic cycles, the ecological changes.
