Palazzo Bentivoglio presents Vestimenti, a solo exhibition by Sissi. Sissi (Bologna, 1977) emerged at the end of the nineties, still very young and while still attending the Academy of Fine Arts, immediately revealing himself as one of the brightest exponents of art in Italy. His practice immediately ranged from performances to sculptures, from videos to photographs, from drawings to paintings. The same languages are very often mixed together to compose works that always maintain a very strong stylistic code. The themes focus on the body, of the artist but not only, often declined in his ways of living and inhabiting the world, or in his individual elements that make up our anatomy. \n Vestimenti will collect a wide selection of the artist's sculptures-clothes. Much of Sissi's production over the years has in fact focused on the creation of clothes, sometimes wearable, made of the most varied materials, which the artist has always understood and presented as real sculptures, even in large installations or performances, as in her first fundamental work Daniela has lost the train (1999). This is a large body of work capable of covering twenty years of career and of deepening one of the key elements of his poetics. \n The sculptures will be presented through a large installation project designed specifically by the artist for the exhibition space of Palazzo Bentivoglio. A performance will also be presented in which the artist will dialogue with the public and will allow us to highlight how these works are linked to our everyday lives, from which they are born and for which they are intended.
