This volume reconstructs the history of the fashion sketch from the post-war period to the present day, tracing its evolution from an illustrative drawing in haute couture to a design and industrial tool with the advent of prêt-à-porter. Through the analysis of significant archives (such as the CSAC in Parma), corporate collections (including Max Mara, Antonio Marras, and Massimo Osti), and in-depth studies on Albini, Lagerfeld, Moschino, and Armani, the book restores the centrality of the sketch as a cultural device capable of intertwining imagination and technique, positioning fashion within the landscape of contemporary artistic practices. Valentina Rossi and Tommaso Pasquali will be in conversation.
